Winter Break

ふゆやすみはとてもいそがしかったです。
やすみませんでした。
わたしはしごとがみっつありました。
QBE Insurance ではたらきました。
くじからごじまではたらきました。そして、
ビルのスーパーでろくじはんからじゅいちじはんから
はたらきました。
土曜日に、じゅうじからごじまでコンストラクシュンで
はたらきました。
日曜日に、かのじょとえいがをみました。
ふゆやすみは、"There Will Be Blood" と
"Gone Baby Gone" と"Cloverfield" をみました。
えいがはとてもよかったです。

ふゆやすみはまあまあでした。

わたしはけんどうをしませんでした！

First Year Japanese II

For those of you who don't already know me here's my self-introduction:

こんにちは。　わたしのなまえはケンです。アイルランドからきました。けんどうかです。サーカーがすきです。わたしのいちばンサーカーかわジネヂネジダネです。にほんへいつたことがありません。
コロンビアだいがくのがくせいです。いちねんせいです。にほんごがすこしわかります。

Hello everyone. My name is Ken. I'm from Ireland, but I've been living in New York for the past few years. My main interest in this class is to learn how to speak and read Japanese. I am very interested in Japanese history. this interest probably stems from my training in Kendo. Kendo is the Japanese martial art of fencing. Aside from Kendo, I also like soccer and my favorite player is Zinedine Zidane.　Despite my interest in Japanese history and martial arts, I have never been to Japan.

ふゆやすみ：

ふゆやすみはとてもいそがしでした。はたらきました。
げつようびからきんようびまでQBE Insurance ではたらきました。
くじからごじまではたらきました。そして、ろくじからじゅじまでビルのスーパーではたらきました。
どようびのあさ、コンストルクシャン (construction)をしました。
にちようびはやすみました。

This Semester

This semseter has been very interesting to say the least. At first it was hard to get adjusted to the grammar of a new language. I felt as if i was pulling my own teeth trying to get the sounds out. lol. It has been a lot of work; at the beginning I had trouble getting the stuff to stick to my memory but i kept at it and I think that I started to improve as the semester went on. Learning Japanese this semester was difficult, but I did manage to have some fun along the way. I met a new group of people, hopefully some of them I can consider to be friends. Also, I don't think much of my learning would have been possible unless I had such an understanding and attentive teacher. A good teacher is always a benefit (in a way fukai sensei gave me the encouragement to do better, I don't know if she was even conscious of it at the time, but it is true. thank you sensei.) I look foward to comming back next semester to continue the journey. Hopefully I will encounter some familiar faces, if not, it's always good to meet new people.

せんしゅうのどようびにはたらきなした。
そしてべんきょうしました。
どようびのばん、わたしのかのじょはうちへきました。
わたしたちは"The Mist"をみました。
とてもおもしろいえいがです。とてもたのしいですね。

しゅうまつ

せんしゅうのすいようびに、わたしねあにはアイルランドからきました。
せんしゅうのもくようびに、わたしのかぞくはかのじょとテャンクスギビングの
ばんごはんをたべべました。
それから、はたらきました。そして、レポートをかきました。
にほんごをべんきょうしませんでしたから、はたらきました。
どこへもいきませんでした。
わたしはぐったりです！！
